Augusta Prep planning new centre for science, technological know-how

A new science heart prepared for Augusta Preparatory Working day University aims to supply up-to-date educational room for some of the school’s 21st-century curriculum.

“We have some very amazing programming that’s becoming accomplished in spaces that were not created for it many years in the past,” claimed Derrick Willard, Augusta Prep’s head of faculty. “While we have lab amenities, we do not have facilities that were constructed with robotics, engineering and computer system science in brain.”

Architect Nick Dickinson Jr. filed an application with Columbia County on Feb. 16 requesting to revise the zoning on Prep’s campus to allow for development of a two-tale setting up somewhat much less than 19,000 square feet.

Renderings accompanying the software present the proposed W. Rodger Giles Institute for Inquiry, named for the Augusta-spot restaurateur and professional genuine estate investor who died in 2018 and bequeathed revenue to Prep.
