Montgomery, Pa. — An 18-foot tall sculpture produced from American chestnut wood now decorates Penn College’s Schneebeli Earth Science Middle thanks to a donation by sculptor Jon Bogle. The sculpture joins the College’s substantial Art on Campus Assortment, which features in excess of 300 different functions.
Bogle is a professor emeritus of Lycoming University who has exhibited his artwork around the globe. He was a professor of artwork at Lycoming School from 1976 to 2002 and also served two stints as chair of the college’s art division. Prior to Lycoming, he was an teacher of sculpture at Tyler Faculty of Artwork, Temple College.

A resident of Williamsport, Bogle obtained a Bachelor of Wonderful Arts in sculpture, a Bachelor of Science in training, and a Grasp of Wonderful Arts in sculpture from Tyler University of Artwork, Temple College, finding out in Philadelphia and Rome.
Bogle is a member of the Sculptors Guild and his works are in a lot of community and personal collections.
